An electronic book (variously, e-book, ebook, digital book) is a book-length publication in digital form, consisting of text, images, or both, and produced on, published through, and readable on computers or other electronic devices. Sometimes the equivalent of a conventional printed book, e-books can also be born digital. The Oxford Dictionary of English defines the e-book as "an electronic version of a printed book," but e-books can and do exist without any printed equivalent. Ein E-Book (auch „eBook“ oder „ebook“, von engl. electronic book) versucht im weitesten Sinne, das Medium Buch mit seinen medientypischen Eigenarten in digitaler Form verfügbar zu machen. Eingedeutscht wird unter anderem E-Buch (von elektronisches Buch) oder auch Digitalbuch als Bezeichnung verwendet. source

Un livre éctronique (ou livre numéque), dit aussi livrel ou e-book (en anglais), est un fichier éctronique contenant un texte sous forme numéque. Il ne doit pas êe confondu avec la liseuse, l'appareil éctronique spéaliséui permet de le lire sans faire usage d'un ordinateur. source
